French goats or "chevre" are curious, affectionate and as smart as dogs, according to the guide on our farm tour on Thursday, May 8. As promised, the chevres and their babies, "chevrons," welcomed us and posed for our photos.

The male goats get to keep their horns and are housed together, so fighting is not a problem.

The farm also had a petting zoo with animals from all over the world, like this sheep.
