Leonardo's French home

Who knew that Leonardo da Vinci lived in France at the end of his life? C'est vrai, in 1516 he lived in Amboise in one of King Francois II's houses called Clos Lucé. On Tuesday, 5/12, we visited Leo's home, the site of many clever inventions.

Clos Lucé is a modest chateau.
A beautiful window
Leo invented the first bike and "eco-car."

The indoor exhibits were fascinating but the park behind the house was beautiful and amazing. They reconstructed many of the models so that visitors can engage with them.
A precursor to the heliocopter
The first tank moved slowly
Our favorite exhibit was a collection of faces hung on translucent panels in the forest. The filtered, shifting light looked beautiful on the panels.
The enigmatic one
