At school and around town

Friday May 8 was our last day in Sancerre! Time to post some photos from school, our residence, and some of our favorite sights.

Our french teacher, Malushi, is a delightful, good-humored young lady who endured our silliness and stupidity for many hours.

We stayed in an apartment about two blocks from the school. Directly below the "Tour des Fiefs,"and directly above a pizza restaurant, it's a great spot and convenient to everything.

The tower is easy to spot from anywhere.
Like most small villages in France, photo opps abound -- there are monuments, towers, turrets, and flowers.

La Loire à Vélo is a series of greenways along the Loire river, some of which are car-free, like the one near Sancerre. It's perfectly flat and goes for miles with only bikes, walkers and tractors as traffic.

After any activity around here, one is always thirsty.
